It looks like High School of the Dead is going to be on hiatus for a while because Shoji Sato is working on his manga, Triage X. Even so, he said he is also working on the next High School of the Dead manga chapters, as well as researching what new weapons, vehicles, and other mechanics to include in the series. He stated that he wanted to have the same detailed and quality work that he’s had so far, so it will take him some time and asks the fans to be patient.
Another question that was posed to Sato was if all the main characters would survive to the end. He replied that he wasn’t certain if any main characters would die or not, and even though said he hoped the whole group would survive, he also did like the idea of it being asked.
Someone else also asked him if Koichi Shido will cause more trouble, or die soon, in the upcoming chapters. Sato said that he couldn’t answer this question, but he did hope he dies soon because he doesn’t like the character. 
Lastly, someone asked him when he began illustrating mangas as a career path. Sato replied that he became very ill when he was young, so he couldn’t attend regular classes like everyone else and had to stay at home a lot, so he would spend his time drawing instead.
And finally, Sato said that he really liked the character Takashi Komuro because he is well liked by many, but his all time favorite character is Kohta Hirano.

Man, shoji sato , is a genious, i like H.O.T.D its a sick show, blood, zombies, bad guys , adventure, sexy g!rls , what is not to freaking love about this, i will wait as ling as shoji need for highschool of the dead, i just hope it doesnt take another few years to make a 3rd season,
I started H.O.T.D. Like a month ago, i watched every episode in 1 day , that was probly the best 6 hours ever!!! I love H.O.T.D. Almost as much as i love naruto!!!

Ahhmmm I think it will not end on season 2 cause its so short on Episodes…..13 episodes in one season?!?! That will definitley wont end in season 2
