No wonder Shoji Sato hasn’t updated the Highschool of the Dead series, he’s been busy with other things. We already knew he was busy working on his manga, Triage X, but earlier this year he was also involved with the gaming industry.

Unfortunately Season 2 of Highschool of the Dead was not released on September 5, 2011, as many rumors stated it would be. The exact date of Season 2′s release is still unknown, but at least we know there will in fact be a Season 2.

Animagic 2012 – Shoji Sato Interview
July 31st, 2012 HSoftheDeadIt looks like High School of the Dead is going to be on hiatus for a while because Shoji Sato is working on his manga, Triage X. Even so, he said he is also working on the next High School of the Dead manga chapters, as well as researching what new weapons, vehicles, and other mechanics to include in the series. He stated that he wanted to have the same detailed and quality work that he’s had so far, so it will take him some time and asks the fans to be patient. Read more »

July 27th, 2012 HSoftheDeadIt’s been about a year since Highschool of the Dead Season 2 was announced at Anime Expo last summer. We were hopeful that it would come out last Fall, then last Spring, but we were let down. However, we still hold our hope strong for Highschool of the Dead.
