Unfortunately Season 2 of Highschool of the Dead was not released on September 5, 2011, as many rumors stated it would be. The exact date of Season 2’s release is still unknown, but at least we know there will in fact be a Season 2.

HSoftheDead It looks like High School of the Dead is going to be on hiatus for a while because Shoji Sato is working on his manga, Triage X. Even so, he said he is also working on the next High School of the Dead manga chapters, as well as researching what new weapons, vehicles, and other mechanics to include in the series. Highschool of the Dead Season 2 Update
July 27th, 2012 HSoftheDead It’s been about a year since Highschool of the Dead Season 2 was announced at Anime Expo last summer. We were hopeful that it would come out last Fall, then last Spring, but we were let down. However, we still hold our hope strong for Highschool of the Dead.
