Unfortunately Season 2 of Highschool of the Dead was not released on September 5, 2011, as many rumors stated it would be. The exact date of Season 2’s release is still unknown, but at least we know there will in fact be a Season 2. This was answered at Anime EXPO 2011 at the H.O.T.D panel Q/A’s. The manga has to go further before there is a season 2. Last time I check, Shouji Sato is doing a different series called Triage X while Highschool of the Dead is on hiatus. Daisuke Sato, the writer, was working on a video game called Binary Domain that released Feb. 16, 2012. Are you saying that HotD is coming out in 2012? I believe the article was only talking about Triage X and Blood Lad….or I totally missed your point. My apologies if I did.
But something isn’t making sense here. The famous Youtube video of them saying if they have the everyone’s support, they will make a 2nd season.(Regarding that statement meant fans or publishers etc. etc.)So I thought to myself (I heard that it didn’t do that well in Japan.)that I would look at the sells in North America and Japan. While finding nothing on North American sells I did find this. It’s on Wiki and it isn’t a reliable source http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Highschool_of_the_Dead but it says that Vol. 6 sold a total of 135,734 copies and Vol. 7 sold a total of 206,532 copies in Japan. In North America, the 2nd Vol. stayed in the top 10 from April 24 til May 14. NOTE- That isn’t including the other 5 Volumes in Japan nor in the U.S.
They seriously need to continue the Manga, like why the fuck not? why not finish what you started. Instead they work on another project called Triage X or something. Hell if they just work on HOTD they can make so many chapters then Anime can come out with so many seasons! >:O how awesome wuld that be, hell id be watching every season every day! i hope they continue the manga during summer and make so much more, if they continue manga during summer, and season 2 arrives in fall, they can work on another season for 3 cause they’re already done or working on the next chapters. grr, MORE HOTD! cant wait! 😀
If you guys know anime called conan they have made 817 chapter and they are on going last one was 5/15/2012 and 657 episodes buttom line is think in the chapter not in the seasons cause the seasons comes from the chapters
i agree very much , thats what im begging for, for them to continue the manga so they can go make the season 2, they say they culdve never made season 2 cause they stopped at chapter 29.. wtf?! so they HAVE to keep going, i heard they already made chapters 30-41 in a draft form, i hope they do.
And another thing, i dont get why all these damn Animes have so many fucking chapters and shit and anime episodes reaching over 100 and shit, like WTF!? and HOTD only got 13!? comon -.- and my most fav animes in the days only talk throughout the whole fucking time, no action, HOTD is different, its a ZA , of course there are times of talking, their surviving, you have to see whats going on through their heads and how their surviving, but in other Animes like Naruto, heard abt One Piece, not much for Bleach, having all these pointless talking, going back in a flashback to tell a story that shouldve been told in the earlier episodes, and i guess explaining their fucking moves? the hell?
Anyway, hope they continue and keep moving on with HOTD 😀
if you are guys watching detective conan you ‘ll understand what i’m talking about they have made right now 817 chapter and 657 episode so all you must to think about is making chapter then think about episodes
listen guys first of all rei must be in love with takashi not saeko because if you watch all the chapters manga you ‘ll see that takashi kissed rei and didn’t kissed saeko and creators edit the series to makes us think that saeko and takashi can love each other but in tha manga chapters didn’t do it
And second of all this season 2 ‘ll be in a big mall like the 28 and 29 chapters says so we just must not care about season 2 more than the anime chapters
And third thing (last thing ‘ll say) why did they stop contunuing 30 they are like been year and 2 months sence chapter 29 3/13/2011
they really need to complet the chapters and then thinking about seasons 2,3,4,5……..) that’s the important thing cause when they make chapters they make HOTD from the chapter and that’s what is going happen to season 2

“Big news out of Japan for all you manga fans out there! Kadokawa has announced thats Season 2 of High School of the Dead has been green-lighted.
Kadokawa producer Jordan Drake passed along the word that Season 2 of High School of the Dead will consist of 13 episodes and will launch this fall.”

I have seen all 12 episodes of hotd and i really liked it. After i have seen all 12 episode i started to look for episode 13,14….. but i didn’t find eny so i started to look for informasjon about season 2 and i was disappointed becouse i found out that where isn’t eny seasion 2. But now i am litt confused i have seen the comix version of seasion 2, so why is where no video about it. I mean if they have made the comix about seasion 2 why can’t they make videos about it, does it cost so much? One thing makes me angry, why can’t they just tell us about seasion 2 if where are no seasion2 whats okey if it is a seasion 2 whats great, why can’t they just tells us? that really makes my angry. So if enyone knows enything about seasion 2, just writt it down so we would know to.
