Unfortunately Season 2 of Highschool of the Dead was not released on September 5, 2011, as many rumors stated it would be. The exact date of Season 2’s release is still unknown, but at least we know there will in fact be a Season 2. This was answered at Anime EXPO 2011 at the H.O.T.D panel Q/A’s. Dude , Takashi is gonna pick Saeko all the way, she can keep him alive even more than Hirano can, Saeko is both mature and nice but sick and twisted, not to mention she knows how to cook. Sooo.. OF COURSE HE WILL PICK SAEKO! Rei? fuck her, she gave up on him just cause “hes not the same” or w.e, then when Hisashi dies and Takashi becomes a badass, she falls for him, really? no go back, Saeko will be his girl forreal, cause like i said, she can keep him alive, also he had this weird small crush on her, always acting “weird” around her. He cant even stay near Rei and look at her at episode 6 even if shes really half naked.
I love HOTD so much i could cry lol. This is the best zombie-anime combo I have ever seen. I want to also see a version of HOTD in xbox and/or ps3 gaming. It can in no way be a failure I could guarantee that. And it could start right from the beginning (if somehow the person purchasing the game did not now of the HOTD series) which have made most games very successful. But to get to more pressing matters I need the next season of HOTD so please release starving for more HOTD>
Ok, I have to admit, this show was probably one of the most amazing shows i have seen in a very, very long time… I happened to be watching and reading Dance in the Vampire Bund around the same time me and some friends happen to finish HTOD. They both Ranked WAYYYYY up on my list of Awesome!! Anyhow, i had given up on a season 2, but am now revived due to hearing that season 2 is on its way!!! I can’t flippin wait!!! I was telling one of my friends about how the ecchi issue has possibly delayed the second season from releasing earlier than it could have and all he said was,”It’s not like we haven’t seen more than what was in episode 6 of the show, i mean look at Girls Bravo, it showed almost everything and everyone we showed loved that show!” I agreed completely! Not to mention, secretly, i have always wanted to see the main character actually develope a meaningful relationship that eventually led to something intimate, but in a way that was tasteful and deepened the connection between them. I mean it is done in movies these day all of the time and not deemed porn, but as soon as you put a sexual scene in an anime, it’s automatically deemed a hentai. Annoying as crap in my opinion! I mean today’s populace has already been exposed to much more than what this show could possibly deem as too mature or too ecchi… Oh well, bottom line, don’t worry so much, American anime fans aren’t worried about stuff like that as much as some may think… JUST RELEASE THE SHOW PLEASE!!! It will be worth it, regardless of how ecchi the content may be, as long as it’s meaningful to the plot and aids in the depth of the magnificent story line! ;D
u and your friend is right. Make a anime, put 1 sex scene in it and it’s tagged as hentai. Probably even in uncut versions of anime dont usually show the peoples’ lower frontal parts and if they do its either blocked out or nothing there. HOTD is a great anime and the manga is too. All I can say is ‘DONT LIKE IT, DONT WATCH IT!’ Hentai is best defined as TOO MUCH SEX. I believe that any anime can have nudity in them or even 1 sex scene in them just dont over do it__THATS HENTAI! I dout its delay is ecchi anyway… ever seen ‘Ikki Tousen’ ep. 7? literally! No complaints on that. I’m fine with it as long as it doesn’t stray from the main plot (which HOTD doesn’t). I mean common! This is an outbreak! A act of survival! There’s no time thinking’ who should U BANG tonight?!’ when watching HOTD doesn’t it give u the ‘I can see that happening’ feeling? this shows exactly what people would do in a crisis: save their own ass despite the pain of others or suck up their pride and band together to stay alive.
Yea, its very unlikely the delay is due to it being ecchi. And lets be clear, HOTD is NOT hentai.
Someone else posted they felt the manga creators thought the anime was too ecchi. That doesn’t really make any sense as the manga was just as good, with a bit more nipples actually. Oh yea, and lets not forget Shouji Sato, the guy who drew all those pretty HOTD pictures, does hentai under a pen name, Inazuma. in the new season there should be 25 episodes and takashi should find a condom and use it/sexy girls,guns,BOOBS,horny girls,good storyline and zombies…WHAT COULD I POSSIBLY ASK FOR!!!

I have been waiting for HOTD season 2 what seems like an eternity. I think after all these months/years it must be my top google search. I will be buying it at the first moment I possibly can.
They seriously need to hurry with the 2nd season. Every since I saw Highschool of the Dead I’ve been stuck on Anime. I saw other ones to see if they can compare like action type none wasn’t due with zombie. There was one really good that compared (Sekirei) but it wasn’t like Highschool of the Dead. I just need to see season 2 really bad.
