Unfortunately Season 2 of Highschool of the Dead was not released on September 5, 2011, as many rumors stated it would be. The exact date of Season 2’s release is still unknown, but at least we know there will in fact be a Season 2. This was answered at Anime EXPO 2011 at the H.O.T.D panel Q/A’s. We’re ALL sick of waiting. In Chapter 31 of Triage X, Shoji Sato decided to tease us by drawing corpses that looked a lot “Them”. He MUST know that we’re still waiting.
To be perfectly honest, I’d rather see a well-thought-out Chapter 30 than a botched Season 2 with non-canon filler.

finally i have an answer so series 1 episode 13 was the last one right until season 2.
i am now addicted to this show at school i gaze out the window waiting for a zombie-god bless the animators and authors thank you for something to take my mind off geography
OK so there will be a H.O.T.D season 2? because I saw there were OVAs but no season 2, I really want there to be a season 2, I cant wait to here more on it, i love this show, zombies are already a grate topic and then you out them in an anime, and then on top of that out it into us high school students point of view, that is just plane genius.

There was only one OVA and that was back when Madhouse and Fujimishobo thought Daisuke and Shouji were going to create more manga. But they didn’t make more (no one has said why) and then it all stopped. Just like that, it all ended. 🙁
