Unfortunately Season 2 of Highschool of the Dead was not released on September 5, 2011, as many rumors stated it would be. The exact date of Season 2’s release is still unknown, but at least we know there will in fact be a Season 2. This was answered at Anime EXPO 2011 at the H.O.T.D panel Q/A’s. That is simply not true. There is no season 2. There is no news of a season 2. And all evidence suggests no one actually working on a season 2.

Thats an interesting yet unlogical request. How do you prove an anime season doesn’t exist?
There is no season 2 online for viewing in its native language. If you feel thats an inaccurate statement, please post the link so those who understand Japanese can view it.
The creators of the Anime (season 1) have said nothing publicly about a season 2 in the last year. I’ve spent hours and hours over the last few months looking for news, and can find nothing.
Opinion: I’m sure they were hopeful, and likely intended to have a second season. Then the earthquake hit Japan, there were more important things to deal with. People move on.
Web sites like this one http://www.ota-suke.jp/news/73175 ,which list current and upcoming anime in Japan have no mention of HOTD.
If there were any new HOTD manga or anime in the works, I would think Shoji Sato would talk about it on his web site. http://www.ghost-d.com/ssss/top.html. He does update it apx once a month.
I’m a fan of the show, not a troll looking to spar with someone. But I would rather know than hope a season 2 were in the works. With no proof, logically one would have to conclude it doesn’t exist.
You have it the other way around. There won’t be season 2 unless proven otherwise.

I Read HOTD and watched it. I continue read/purchase while waiting for next season, I even Cosplayed first time ever for my love for HOTD. Nice site but waiting for more content here.
