Late last month in August we started a contest for Highschool of the Dead fans around the world. The contest was called “We Want Highschool of the Dead Season 2 Contest.” This was the first contest that we have held and we thought it was a good way to stir up the fans and followers of the HOTD anime and manga series. We thought it would be a fun way to support the series as well as a way for devoted fans to win some merchandise from their favorite series.
The Contest Results
The contest didn’t go as well as we had hoped; then again, it was the first time we’ve held a contest and maybe we failed to communicate it well enough. For that, we apologize. Regardless, out of the thousands of fans that viewed the contest, one distinct individual was brave enough to record a short Youtube video expressing his love for the series. His name is Nick and he is the winner of our contest! How did Nick win? Well, for starters, he was the only person to actually submit a video! We’re a bit surprised that nobody else entered the contest. Maybe people don’t love Highschool of the Dead anymore, or maybe the wait for season 2 has killed the interest of many fans. Whatever the reason, it is what it is. Aside from that, Nick entered the contest immediately. Within 5 minutes of posting the contest and making it live, he was the first to submit a video! If that’s not true HOTD dedication, we don’t know what is.
With all that said, we congratulate you, Nick, on winning the contest and being a true Highschool of the Dead fan! We hope HOTD season 2 comes out soon because fans like you truly deserve it!

Hey, HSOTD, I am patiently waiting for the second season! I watched in on Netflix back in 2012, and I was in love with it. Such a well written combination of drama, horror, and comedy/action! The only thing that bums me out, was the abrupt stop at ep. 12. I really hope you guys are able to begin another season soon, because I hate nothing more than when an anime leaves you hanging with under 20 episodes. I’ll be waiting to hear of a new season!
I was not aware of the contest! If I was I would have jumped on it like Nick did! I just recently watched HOTD and fell in love with it! I also just brought a wallet and all the graphic novels for HOTD. I’m a fan of HOTD too and I’m ready for season two!

True that these mother fuckers dont even care its about the money guys I dont know Why you think these assholes will make another season if people say it didnt make alot of Money in japan or us for what was expected I guess im not a fan of cartoons but I enjoys these once in a while but damn I Like good stories which this One was great but it clearly hasnt finished unless you want it to end with a dumbass ending BTW triage x I not even close to good as hotd zombie shit is the best no matter what ,, just make another season if you wanna end it there make it a ending that doesnt look Like another season is coming out

I just rewatched the whole thing again because im so sad that a new season has not come out yet and to my suprise there was the ova and that was my remaining hope for the 2nd season to come out
