After a long 2 year hiatus, Highschool of the Dead will be returning this Spring, 2013. Fans of the series never gave up hope, and it looks like that hope will finally pay off this year! The return is revealed by these photos of the new publications for the manga’s fifth and sixth volumes which will be in full color. The wrap around band on the manga publications states that it will be returning soon. Another photo shows a full page advertisement saying that the manga is returning Spring 2013. Although currently no return date has been specified, we will keep you informed as new information on the series is revealed. Stay tuned, with the return of the manga, Highschool of the Dead Season 2 of the anime series looks like it may finally return in 2013 as well!

season 1 was awesome
this was the anime that started my interest in anime. i would really like a series 2,as would all the other fans, and i hope it will soon be possible. good luck with making it happen.
So the manga returns the anime usually follows when the manga finishes so the article is still very true. cant wait.
So… Act 28 of the manga came out Nov, 2010. Act 29 of the manga came out March, 2011. Act 30 of the manga came out April 2013. Act 31, if there is one, won’t happen until 2014 or later. So with 1 to 2 years between each act, and maybe 4 more acts necessary to have enough for season 2 of the anime. How the hell long do you expect to wait?…. when you can’t wait.

No, It was planned for 2011. Then the earthquake/tsunami happened, Daisuke Sato had heart trouble, and he stopped writing HOTD again. This thing in 2013 was just about the manga.

Why does it clear state that season 2 returns in 2013 in the link to this page when it is clearly not true. The bases for this post links to an advert for the manga, any true fan or thinking person would know that the manga is not the anime.
I loved the first season of highschool of the dead that much that I watched it 2 time through in a week so please make a series two as it would mean a lot to me and a lot of other fans.
