After a long 2 year hiatus, Highschool of the Dead will be returning this Spring, 2013. Fans of the series never gave up hope, and it looks like that hope will finally pay off this year! The return is revealed by these photos of the new publications for the manga’s fifth and sixth volumes which will be in full color. The wrap around band on the manga publications states that it will be returning soon. Another photo shows a full page advertisement saying that the manga is returning Spring 2013. Although currently no return date has been specified, we will keep you informed as new information on the series is revealed. Stay tuned, with the return of the manga, Highschool of the Dead Season 2 of the anime series looks like it may finally return in 2013 as well!

Im really looking forward to this, I’ve used a lot of time finding out if this seasson 2 was confirmed. Lately there has been too much ecchi genre in animes like HoTD so it occurs that they’re trying to cut down on those animes now. (Highschool DxD is going through the same problem).
Who’s gonna be a couple is hard to guess, it may be that Takashi doesn’t pick one- since his pick can change the outcome of the serie and the outcome of how the fans look at it.
“Apocalypse” is the name for the new season, which means that it is worldwide. If we’re lucky it may show more than just the huge city where they are at the moment.
All of the things am saying now is just theories, and I have another theory. It is a classic cliche that animes that have a lot of characters picks out a few important persons and get them killed. Which means that the odds for ones of the girls from Takashi’s harem get bitten.
This was written on wikipedia (which means that it isn’t for sure, since anyone are allowed to write on Wiki) that on the 4th of January 2014 the new season will have a debut.

Nothing really changes in regards to Takashi, Rei and Saeko in Season 2. But Khota does get a girlfriend, Asami. But ends up having to shoot her before she is mauled by zombies. Very sad day in the world of HOTD.

Obviously not for a couple of years, since there isn’t even a season 2 yet. Ever since the manga got green lit all those months ago, only a single chapter has come out, and nothing else since. The manga has likely been cancelled due to the poor reception of their latest chapter, which means no new season, and therefore no new DVD. Maybe we’ll get an OVA, but I HIGHLY doubt it
The manga did return for a short while, but not the anime…
