After a long 2 year hiatus, Highschool of the Dead will be returning this Spring, 2013. Fans of the series never gave up hope, and it looks like that hope will finally pay off this year! The return is revealed by these photos of the new publications for the manga’s fifth and sixth volumes which will be in full color. The wrap around band on the manga publications states that it will be returning soon. Another photo shows a full page advertisement saying that the manga is returning Spring 2013. Although currently no return date has been specified, we will keep you informed as new information on the series is revealed. Stay tuned, with the return of the manga, Highschool of the Dead Season 2 of the anime series looks like it may finally return in 2013 as well!

Yea, Its unfortunate the people running this site errantly posted this referring to Season 2. They really did jump the gun, but did go back and edit the text, adding in ‘manga’ to make it a bit more clear. But they didn’t change the internal link, that is still wrong. Season 2 is NOT coming out this spring, or summer, or fall, etc.
It was wrong to post this as ‘season 2 spring 2013’ when all the news and what really happened was the release of an additional act of the manga this spring.
You may want to let the fans on realitymod.com know that the link is in error.
Omfg *facepalm* People, when they said it will return Spring 2013 they meant the Manga not the anime (the chapter they were talking about anyways is already out). As far as they were talking about the anime though, they were just speculating that it has a chance to return in 2013. “Stay tuned, with the return of the manga, Highschool of the Dead Season 2 of the anime series looks like it may finally return in 2013 as well!” They never said it will they say “May” (no the the month either, in context “It may have a chance at returning) they never said the anime will returning this year.
Just to be clear.
If ‘they’ is defined as the people who made season 1 or the people who may be involved in making season two. They have said absolutely NOTHING about season 2 since 2011. So there is no news about season 2, no body has said if or when it will be out.
The only people who have said anything about season two are us fans and the rumor mongers trying to stir things up.
This extended delay since Act 30 of the manga was release doesn’t bode well for even a 2014 release of season 2. The odds of season 2 happening in 2013 are pretty much zero.
Sorry for any confusion there if you had any, when I said “they” I was referring to the people who had made this article and yes I am aware that the last that the official people hadn’t said anything on season two since 2011.

Finally! Just got finished watching both the Japanese and English versions. Hopefully they make an English dub as well; both of them are so good!

It says spring because it hasn’t gotten to spring In Asia while in America it has passed. It will be around our fall when they have Their spring. SO IT’S COMING THIS FALL!!!!for Americans!!!!
